Harrogate SEN disco to welcome 120 young adults

Down's Syndrome North Yorkshire and Artizan International are hosting another SEN Disco.

An inclusive disco for young adults with special educational needs and disabilities is celebrating its second anniversary in Harrogate.

The SEN Disco welcomed 55 people when it was first held at Ivory Bar two years ago and has since grown to attract around 120 attendees.

The event gives adults aged 18 and over the opportunity to enjoy a nightclub experience while supported by their carers.

And an anniversary disco will run on Wednesday 14th October from 6.30pm until 9.30pm at The Ivory on The Ginnel in Harrogate.

A spokesperson for Down's Syndrome North Yorkshire said:

"What started out as a special night out has grown into a fantastic community where  we have laughed, danced and everyone gets the chance to shine on the dance floor."

Resident DJs Max and Duncan will play party anthems throughout the evening before finishing with the traditional final encore of Sweet Caroline.

The voluntary organisation also holds themed disco nights throughout the year.

The anniversary event will run from 6.30pm until 9.30pm at The Ivory on The Ginnel in Harrogate.

Tickets cost £12, with free admission for carers. Find out more and get tickets here.
