Richard Taylor Primary School in Harrogate has launched a fundraising campaign as it looks to "rejuvenate" its Key Stage 1 play area.
The school is aiming to raise £5,000 to renovate the area, which Headteacher Mr Andrew Symonds has said ”urgently” requires attention.
The school has been at its current site on Bilton Lane since 1973.
Mr Symonds said:
“Our Friends of the School do a wonderful job in fundraising, but we need your help to achieve our goals.
“Our current priority is the rejuvenate of our EYFS/KS1 outdoor pay areas which urgently require renovation.
“If you are a pupil or parent, past or present and would like to make a donation to help us completely renovate our outdoor learning space please give what you can.”

Plans for the area include a new forest shelter, timber gate, adventure trail and a ‘little explorers tower.’
The campaign has raised just under £800 at the time of writing.
