Young performers from Harrogate are set to take to the stage alongside professional musicians as part of a new live music event at Rossett Acre Primary School's annual Summer Fair.
The inaugural “Big Jam Live” will see emerging artists perform with Yorkshire-based band The Song Collectives during the fair on Saturday 20th July.
Youngsters have been invited to sing or play an instrument live with the band, giving them a rare opportunity to perform in front of a community audience.
The event forms part of Rossett Acre Primary School’s annual Summer Fair, organised by the school's PTA to raise vital funds while bringing together families and residents from across the area.
Funds will go towards upgrading Rossett Acre's IT equipment to support pupils’ learning needs.
A spokesperson for the event said:
“Young performers have been invited to play an instrument or sing with a professional band, live.
"This is an incredibly rare opportunity, and one that will give these youngsters an amazing experience whilst showcasing the incredible young talent we have in Harrogate.”
Alongside live music, the fair will feature games, inflatables, food and drink stalls, princess characters and superheroes, as well as appearances from the fire service.
The Rossett Acre Summer Fair takes place on Saturday 20th July from 1pm.
