Pupils from Harrogate High School and residents of Hampden House care home have joined forces to create hundreds of handmade poppies for the town's Remembrance ceremonies.
The collaboration saw students visit the care home to craft poppies made from felt, card and wool.
Their creations formed part of wreaths for Harrogate’s remembrance commemorations.
The wreaths will be displayed at Harrogate Railway Station and at the town’s cenotaph.

A spokesperson for Hampden House said:
“Harrogate High School started a wonderful Poppy Appeal, encouraging their pupils, staff and the wider community to make poppies for their display.
“We were delighted to support this lovely idea!
“Harrogate High visited us and we continued making remembrance poppies side by side.
“It was heart-warming to see such a beautiful intergenerational connection.”
Hampden House recently received Veteran Friendly Status through the national Veteran Friendly Framework, which recognises care homes that offer dedicated support to those who have served in the armed forces.

Harrogate High School teacher Rachel Addy said the project gave students a deeper understanding of the significance of remembrance and the stories behind it.
The joint effort was also featured on BBC’s Look North.
