A popular fundraising event at Coppice Valley Primary School is set to return following a successful debut last year.
In recent years, the Coppice Valley PTFA has supported improvements to the school’s outdoor provision, helping to fund features such as an outdoor canopy for forest school activities and outdoor musical instruments.
The group also organises events including Christmas fairs and discos, as well as launching the colour run for the first time last year.
The Coppice colour run has become a significant fundraising event, enabling the PTFA to contribute funds back into the wider school community.
A spokesperson for Coppice Valley’s PTA said:
“In 2025 over 400 people took part and we’re hoping that this year will be even better!
“This year the PTFA are raising funds to be able to build outdoor reading nooks for the school grounds.
“These will provide calming spaces for children to take their love of reading outside.”
The event will be open to the whole community. Alongside the run, attendees can expect a range of activities including a barbecue, bar, games and stalls, a bouncy castle and an ice cream van.
The PTA spokesperson added:
“The perfect day out for all the family and anyone who takes part is supporting the school too.”
