Harrogate’s own Christian Dickson has been named a winner at this year’s Yorkshire Finance Leaders Awards.
The event was held at The Queens Hotel in Leeds last night.
The event, now in its ninth year, celebrates the region’s most talented finance professionals across a range of sectors.
Christian, who is the CFO at Mail Metrics (incl. Adare Sec), took home the award in the category for Yorkshire Finance Leader in a £100m to £200m turnover business.
He was recognised alongside other shortlisted finalists from across the region, reflecting the strength and depth of Yorkshire’s finance community.
The evening featured a keynote speech from former RAF combat helicopter pilot Sarah Furness and brought together finance directors, chief finance officers, controllers and wider teams from across the county.

Organisers said the awards aim to highlight the achievements of leaders who play a vital role in driving growth and supporting businesses.
Steve Wilson, head of Aon Accelerate, one of the event’s sponsors, commented:
“This year’s entrants represent the strongest competitors to date, with the shortlist determined by exceptionally fine margins.
"The calibre of talent and leadership demonstrated has been outstanding, reflecting the high standards of the finance sector in Yorkshire.”
Other sponsors included BDO LLP and Marks Sattin.
The Yorkshire Finance Leaders Awards continue to shine a spotlight on individuals and teams who contribute to the region’s economic success, with Christian’s win marking a proud moment for Harrogate in this year’s celebration.
