Harrogate-based IT provider Techbuyer has been recognised with a King’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development.
This year, only 185 businesses across the UK have received a King’s Award - one of the highest honours a UK business can achieve.
Announced today (Wednesday), the Award recognises Techbuyer for outstanding success in Sustainability.
Employing 190 people, Techbuyer, founded in 2005, delivers sustainable IT solutions to companies around the world.

The company works to reduce the environmental impact of technology on our environment by promoting circular economy IT practices, diverting e-waste from landfill, championing refurbished IT hardware, and advocating for more sustainable technology habits.
Steve Sexton, CEO at Techbuyer, said:
“We're incredibly proud to receive the King’s Award for Enterprise, particularly for Sustainable Development - a core aspect of our business.
“This recognition reflects the commitment, expertise and values of our company and team, as well as the impact that our circular IT model delivers - reducing the impact of IT on our environment, without compromising on performance, efficiency or reliability.
“It reinforces our belief that sustainability and commercial success must go hand in hand.”
The King’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK’s most prestigious business awards.
Winners are allowed to display the King’s Awards Emblem for the next five years - a globally recognised mark of excellence.
Applications for the 2027 King’s Awards are now open. Find out more at: https://www.gov.uk/kings-awards-for-enterprise
