A gym in Harrogate is set to host a 24-hour workout next month to support Movember charities.
HG3 Sweat will be running the event from 12pm on 1st November until midday the following day.
They’ll be challenging participants to take on a new workout every hour, on the hour, for a full 24 hours.
The challenge is to support Movember - a global movement that tackles some of the most pressing health issues facing men including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention.
The HG3 Sweat community, which has been personally impacted by these issues, is determined to make this event one to remember - both for its high energy and its contribution to a worthy cause.
Pete Davis, co-owner of HG3 Sweat, said:
“We’re going all out. Whether you're here to smash just one workout or you're feeling brave enough to join the 24-hour crew, it’s going to be an amazing day for a fantastic cause.
“We're even throwing in a ‘Midnight Murph’ challenge just to keep things interesting!"
Participants can sign up for as many or as few workout slots as they like, ensuring that fitness enthusiasts of all levels can get involved.
For those truly daring, there’s ‘Team Bangers & Tash’, a select group tackling the entire 24-hour challenge.
Team B&T will consist of coaches and committed members willing to test their stamina, grit, and sense of humour in the name of charity.
Sarah Brooks, co-owner of HG3 Sweat, said:
“This event is about more than just sweating it out. Movember’s mission is personal for many of us, and we’re committed to making a real impact for men’s health.
“We’ve teamed up with some amazing local brands to keep everyone going throughout the 24 hours.
“Brio will be fuelling us with pizza, the Tiny Tea Urn from Bettys and Taylors will be on hand to provide our morning caffeine boost, and Heck will be serving up breakfast rolls to power us through the final stretch.
“It’s a great opportunity to come together as a community, have some fun, and maybe even survive a few 3am burpees!”
