The Harrogate community has come together to offer lifts to NHS staff unable to get to work due to the adverse weather conditions.
Harrogate District Hospital put out an appeal for 4x4 drivers to give lifts to staff who weren’t able to get to the hospital.
And the appeal has had a “huge response”, with people coming forward in their snow-friendly vehicles to offer their support.

A spokesperson for Harrogate District Hospital said:
“Thank you to everyone who has offered assistance and if we haven’t already done so, will be contacting you asap.
“We really appreciate everyone’s swift response to our request.
“It is heartening to know that there are so many people out there that are happy to help.”
No further assistance is needed at this time.
