Harrogate's amateur bakers are being invited to showcase their homemade bakes on a hit TV show.
The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice hosted by Jo Brand and Tom Allen is asking for amateurs in our area to come forward to appear on the show.
They’re looking for people who would like to be in the audience and have their homemade bakes, “from the brilliant to the bizarre”, be discussed by Tom and his iconic whisk mic.
A spokesperson for the show’s recruitment team said:
“Tom Allen armed with his iconic whisk mic is searching for eye-catching bakes, creative cakes, and your forlorn flans.
"Feel free to try an adventurous design, use extraordinary ingredients or go with the theme of that week’s Bake Off.
“The more inventive your bake, the better. Even if it didn’t turn out as planned!”
The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice is the spin-off show of the ever-popular Great British Bake Off, which launched its new season last month on Channel 4.
