The star of hit TV show Gavin and Stacey has been spotted filming in a Harrogate charity shop this morning (Thursday).
Joanna Page was seen on Harrogate’s Commercial Street and was filming inside Age UK for new BBC show ‘Shift the Thrift’.
The show celebrates Britain’s booming charity shop scene and taps into the growing trend of second-hand shopping and online reselling.
Joanna said:
“I absolutely love charity shops and have been customising and upcycling clothes for years, so this show is right up my street.
“It’s fun, fast, and gives people great ideas on how to find value in second-hand treasure - all while supporting brilliant local causes.”
In every episode, two contestants face off in a timed challenge to see who can turn their charity shop finds into the highest profit.
They hunt for hidden treasures, give them a creative makeover and then put them up for sale in lively, live-streamed auctions.
Each episode takes place in a new UK town, where Joanna and two guest experts dive into the local charity shop scene.
