Follifoot Cricket Club is preparing to celebrate a major milestone this weekend as it marks its 180th anniversary.
The club will host a special summer celebration on Sunday (16th August), with a Follifoot XI taking on a Yorkshire Legends XI at The Bull Ring on Pannal Road.
The event will celebrate 180 years of cricket in Follifoot, with the club having been established in 1846.
Gates will open at 11.30am, with curtain-raiser junior matches taking place before the main fixture gets underway at 1pm.
Organisers are promising a full day of activities alongside the cricket, with a live jazz band, BBQ, full bar, face painting and sweet and cake stalls.

There will also be raffles and an auction, with prizes including a signed Sir Alastair Cook cricket bat.
Food and refreshments will be available throughout the day, including bacon and sausage sandwiches, tea and coffee.
The anniversary event is being billed as a family day out and is free to attend.
Follifoot Cricket Club said the occasion will bring together "cricket, community spirit and summer entertainment" as it celebrates its landmark birthday.
The club's Bull Ring ground will host the festivities, with supporters, former players, families and members of the wider community invited to join the celebrations.
