A festive concert has raised more than £6,000 to support people living with sight loss and disabilities across Yorkshire.
Henshaws’ Charity Festive Showcase returned to Ripon Cathedral on Monday (24th November).
The annual event helps fund the charity’s work with children, young people and adults who are visually impaired or have other disabilities.
Flora Simpson, fundraising development manager at Henshaws, said:
"The Festive Showcase raised a phenomenal amount for Henshaws, while bringing the community together for a night of festive celebration. The atmosphere was nothing short of magical."
Performances included singer-songwriter Leo Hicks, The Harrogate Spa Town Ukes, The Yorkshire Voices Choir and the Henshaws Arts and Crafts Centre Makaton Choir.

The evening was hosted by Henshaws patron Dave Steele, also known as ‘The Blind Poet,’ who recited poetry throughout the event.
Attendees also enjoyed traditional carols, mulled wine, mince pies and a festive raffle with prizes donated by local businesses.
The concert was sponsored by Ison Harrison Solicitors. Ervin Shakaj, Harrogate branch manager, added:
"Henshaws’ work is exceptional. Their commitment to supporting people with sight loss and other disabilities so they can live full, independent lives is inspiring."
