A drug driver has been arrested on the outskirts of Harrogate for driving with an ‘unsecured load’ and fake number plates.
The van in question was stopped by police yesterday (Thursday).
And, following further investigation from officers, the driver was found to be under the influence of drugs.
Sergeant Paul Cording BEM of North Yorkshire Police said:
“A little bit of digging showed the vehicle to be on false plates along with the obvious insecure load.
“As often happens though, one thing leads to another and the driver tested positive for cannabis on a drug wipe.”
The driver was arrested and an evidential blood sample has been sent for analysis.
