A drag bingo night is being held in Harrogate to raise money for a new ultrasound scanner at Harrogate District Hospital.
Bingo for Our Angels: Drag Queens Raising Hope will take place at Cedar Court Hotel on Friday 12th September.
Doors open at 7pm, with bingo and drag entertainment starting at 8pm, hosted by performers Arina Fox and Dixie Normous.
Funds raised will go towards the Our Angels Charity Scanner Appeal, which is seeking to purchase a new ultrasound machine to support families during pregnancy, including those experiencing pregnancy after loss.
Alex Souchard, Bereavement Midwife at Harrogate District Hospital, said:
"Being able to provide parents with a timely and effective ultrasound scan with a new machine, which is highly effective with the highest technology, means that we’re able to do this in the timeliest of ways, to be able to provide that information as quickly as we can to families.
“We will also be using this scanning machine for families in pregnancies after loss.
“This ultrasound machine will make a huge difference to families in our care.”
Tickets can be purchased at harrogate.cedarcourtevents.com. Standard tickets are £35, whilst VIP tickets are £50 and include entry, a bingo card and a choice of chicken or vegetarian burger.
Drinks can be pre-ordered on the ticket website. Bingo dabbers will be available for £1 and raffle tickets cost £1 each, with prizes donated by more than 30 local businesses.
The evening will also feature tarot readings for £10, a free photo booth with a professional photographer, and music from a local DJ.
