The Duchy Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, has successfully raised £55,332 in support of Martin House Children’s Hospice.
Darcey's Ball was held in November at The Pavilions in Harrogate, bringing together over 300 guests and hosted in the memory of Darcey Chapman.
Martin House Children’s Hospice was the Duchy Hospital’s charity partner of the year for 2025; their work provides specialist care for children and young people with life limiting conditions.
The charity offers respite, symptom management and end of life care, whilst also supporting families across Yorkshire.

In total, over 300 guests from across the community attended, with a live auction and prize draws throughout the night.
Michelle Eardley, Executive Director of The Duchy Hospital, said:
“We are delighted that Darcey’s Ball was such a success and has raised over £55,000 for Martin House Children’s Hospice.
"The charity makes a tremendous difference to the lives of so many across our community.
"We are humbled by the generosity and support of all our partners and guests on the night.”
The ‘giving something back’ initiative was launched in 2021 and encourages all of Circle Health Group’s hospitals to partner with a local charity working in their area.

Throughout the year, staff and doctors from the hospital organise and run a series of fundraising activities, with the final total being added to by Circle centrally.
Rebecca Taylor, Regional Fundraiser at Martin House, said:
“We’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to The Duchy Hospital and everyone who generously supported Darcey’s Ball. It was a truly memorable evening that raised an incredible amount for Martin House.
"Christmas is about making special memories, and support like this helps us do just that, from family parties filled with fun and Santa visits to creating treasured moments for families who know every Christmas could be their last.
"With the generosity of the Duchy Hospital, we can be there 24/7 throughout the festive season, giving children and families the care and comfort they need when it matters most.”
