The funeral for former Knaresborough town crier Nancy Buckle will be held tomorrow (Wednesday).
Nancy passed away peacefully on 4th September at the age of 90.
She was described as a “cherished member of the community” and will be remembered for her “warmth, spirit, and the joy she brought to many.”
Her funeral will be held at Holy Trinity Church at 1pm.

As she sadly had no surviving family, Knaresborough’s current town criers, Mark Hunter and Andrew Richards, are encouraging the community to attend.
They said:
“It would be great if we could fill the church with her friends from the community that she was such an integral part of.
“If you are able, please come along to wish Nancy farewell on her final journey.
“All are welcome and if you can wear a hint of lilac colour in her memory, all the better.”
