Classic cars and a Pride party are among a raft of new free events heading to Knaresborough this year.
Eventure Knaresborough has unveiled plans for a series of brand-new, free-to-attend events set to take place across the town throughout 2026 as part of efforts to expand its cultural offer and support local businesses.
The initiative aims to complement Knaresborough’s existing festivals, community gatherings and seasonal celebrations, drawing more residents and visitors into the town centre and riverside.
Among the new additions for 2026 are:
- Knaresborough Connectors – The Art of Goodbye
- Knaresborough Museum Association (KMA) – Knaresborough Forest: Community and Nature Son Et Lumière
- Knaresborough Revolution – Knaresborough Classic Car Show
- Painting Pots – The Great Knaresborough Bunny Hunt After Party
- St George’s Archer – Have a go Archer and Medieval Day
- Yorkshire CREATE – Pride Party in the Park
Charlotte McEvoy, Chain Lane Community Hub, said:
“Eventure Knaresborough brings together key organisations from across the town who are committed to delivering free, high quality events for everyone to enjoy.
“Through this funding, our ambition was to introduce fresh ideas and creative concepts that we hope will continue long after the project ends.
“These events offer a fantastic opportunity to welcome both residents and visitors into Knaresborough, encouraging them to spend time on our high street and riverside while supporting the brilliant local businesses that make our town so special.”
Eventure Knaresborough is supported by the Mayor of York and North Yorkshire, David Skaith, and funded by York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority through the Vibrant and Sustainable High Streets Fund.
