Charity life drawing event to be held in Knaresborough A charity life drawing event is set to be held in Knaresborough next month. Organised by Yorkshire Life Drawing, the event will be raising money for Leeds Hospital Charity and Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Research. It will be hosted at Chain Lane Community Hub in Knaresborough on Sunday 24th March. Each session (morning - 9.30am to 12.30pm or afternoon - 1pm to 4pm) will be 3 hours long. This includes breaks where refreshments will be available subject to a nominal fee, with all proceeds going to charity. There is also the option to draw via Zoom at a discounted cost. Geoff Almond, one of the event organisers, said:
“This is an all-day event and is for established artists but also for newer or people wanted to 'give it a go'. “We have kindly been donated two rooms for the day within the hub and the models are donating their time for free.”The two charities have been chosen to support of two local people. Leeds Hospital Charity has been selected after it supported local 24-year-old Dominic Hartley following an intracerebral haemorrhage. Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Research has been chosen in support of Harrogate’s Lorraine Bradley, who has been fundraising in memory of her dad who passed away from the disease in 2022.
