A charity cafe in Harrogate has launched a fundraising campaign as it looks to purchase new equipment.
Artizan Cafe on Cambridge Street was launched two years ago to create work experience, day services and workplace skills training for disabled young adults.
But the cafe is now in desperate need of new equipment to replace the second-hand fixtures it opened with.
They’re looking to raise £3,000 to fund a new drinks cabinet, sandwich chiller, mixers for cake making, fridges and baking equipment.
A spokesperson for the cafe said:
“Using our own industry-focussed training pathways, we are providing a vocational training programme unlike anything seen before, providing an end-to-end solution that truly enables learning-disabled adults to attain their dream of paid employment with local employers and all of the equipment we need is used by our trainees every single day.”

Artizan Cafe and Creative space is a South American-themed Cafe with its very own arts and crafts studio.
It serves cakes, bakes, fair-trade hot and cold drinks and paninis and wraps; all with a nod to Peruvian styles and tastes.
It's operated by charity Artizan International.
A cafe spokesperson added:
“We are providing an unusual setting for our members that they cannot access elsewhere; to be part of a team of colleagues and friends there to support and encourage them.
“Feeling part of a team allows us to grow in strength and confidence and when that happens, we can achieve far more than we ever imagined!”
The fundraising campaign allows contributors to purchase items and experiences in return for their donation, including a mosaic masterclass and barista training.
