In this episode of the Your Harrogate podcast, Pete Egerton speaks to Harrogate Flower Show director Nick Smith about the forthcoming autumn show at Newby Hall and gardens. Thousands attended the spring flower show earlier in the year at the Yorkshire Events centre and good crowds are predicted once more as the event takes place in the wonderful surroundings of Newby Hall and gardens. Nick explains to Pete all the different elements of the show, including some giant onions and other fruit and veg flourishing this time of year. All the produce will be put to good use during a number of cookery demonstrations, including local chef Steph Moon, aiming to make a roast dinner in just 60 minutes. Nick also describes a wonderful display that'll be on show within the main house of Newby and one that'll especially appeal to any fans of murder mysteries...
