Yorkshire residents with a sense of adventure are being invited to take part in the next series of BBC's Race Across the World.
The award-winning show, broadcast on BBC, sees pairs of contestants race vast distances across the globe without flights, smartphones or credit cards, relying instead on local transport, limited budgets and their ability to work together under pressure.
Producers are looking for “intrepid duos” of all ages and backgrounds, including those from Yorkshire, who are willing to step outside their comfort zone and take on an epic journey across land and sea.

Participants travel through remote regions, bustling cities and breathtaking landscapes, learning about local cultures and traditions along the way. While the race element is central to the programme, the experience is also known for testing relationships and personal resilience.
Announcing the casting call, producers Studio Lambert said:
“We are now accepting applications for the next series of Race Across the World. This experience is open to all, whether you’re a seasoned traveller or total novice.
“We want to hear what undertaking a trip like this would mean to you, and with a cash prize at stake, what lengths you would go to to win.”
Applications are open to anyone aged 18 or over, with a deadline of 29 March 2026.
Full details and application forms can be found on the BBC website here.
