The Harlow Therapy and Coaching in Harrogate has announced the appointment of Hannah Woodruff as its new Clinical Lead.

Hannah has previous experience and expertise as a Psychotherapist and Counsellor, most recently serving as a Clinical Supervisor at Shout - a text-based crisis support line. Hannah oversaw and supervised clinical staff and volunteers, assessing clinical risk, and ensured the appropriate reporting of safeguarding concerns. She officially starting her new role at The Harlow just before Christmas. Hannah expressed her vision for The Harlow:
"My vision for The Harlow is to continue to build a strong team of Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Counsellors, Coaches, and Allied Health Professionals so we can provide exactly the right individualised support for you. "I am also keen to provide these services to people who would not normally be able to access them as I strongly believe everyone deserves the best possible care."Hannah said she is passionate about making mental health support accessible from a young age, believing it will have a profound impact on the health and wellbeing of future generations. She holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology BSc (Hons) and has diverse experience, having worked with ChildLine, social work teams, and in various roles supporting individuals with mental health conditions both in the UK and abroad. Hannah also spent a significant time in Australia as a Key Worker, focusing on recovery-oriented support for individuals transitioning from institutionalised mental health care to independent living. Her career has extended to supporting individuals with physical and learning disabilities, autism, neurodivergence, dementia, and the elderly. Hannah takes over from Psychotherapeutic Counsellor Marianne Downie, who is retiring but will remain an associate of The Harlow. Read more local stories from Your Harrogate here.
