Slingsby Gin, one of the UK's best-known gin brands, has been placed on the market following the administration of its owner, Spirit of Harrogate.
The sale is being handled by BPI Asset Advisory, which is seeking urgent interest from buyers as part of a formal insolvency process.
Founded in 2014 by local entrepreneurs Marcus Black and Mike Carthy, Spirit of Harrogate built Slingsby Gin into a nationally recognised premium brand, closely tied to the heritage and character of Harrogate.
Over the past decade, the business has gained a strong following for its range of craft gins and immersive retail experiences.
The company operates a flagship store and gin experience in Harrogate’s Montpellier Quarter and produces a portfolio that includes a London Dry gin alongside flavoured variants such as blackberry, marmalade and rhubarb.
Andrew Cromack, Director at BPI Asset Advisory, said:
“The UK craft and premium spirits market continues to show strong growth potential, and Slingsby Gin is a well-loved brand with an established following.
"We are looking for serious and interested parties to take this iconic brand forward, preserving its reputation and loyal customer base.”
Slingsby Gin is widely regarded as a respected name within the UK’s craft and premium spirits market.
The assets being offered for sale include bonded and unbonded stock, intellectual property such as registered trademarks, the brand name and recipes, as well as the company’s social media accounts.
Gin tasting equipment, office and IT equipment and a motor vehicle also form part of the sale.
Offers must be submitted by 12pm on 6 February 2026. Interested parties are invited to contact Carol Allen at BPI Asset Advisory for further information.
