A Ripon-based bridal store has been named 'Wedding Dress Shop of the Year' at the North Yorkshire Business Awards.
Gail’s Wedding Boutique, located in the Duck Hill Shopping Quarter, was announced as the category winner during the annual awards ceremony, which celebrates excellence across a range of local industries.
The business was commended for its approach to sustainability, offering both new and pre-loved gowns alongside a range of designers.
It was also praised for inclusivity following efforts to learn British Sign Language to better support customers with additional needs.
Owner Gail Byrne said:
"I can't thank everyone enough for the love and support they have shown me. Winning this award has blown my mind!
"Our collection is constantly growing. Book in and experience for yourself why we have won this award!"
The boutique had also been shortlisted as a regional finalist in the Newcomer category at the Wedding Industry Awards 2025.
The North Yorkshire Business Awards highlight a variety of independent businesses across the region, recognising innovation, growth and community engagement.
