A family farm near Ripon is set to throw open its gates to visitors for the first time as it hosts a series of events.
Mallard Grange Farm, located near Fountains Abbey, will welcome people to the opening of their Flower Field tomorrow (Friday) for a beautiful display of ‘pick your own’ wildflowers and sunflowers.
Visitors can take home a small jar of flowers for a small fee.
There will also be refreshments served from the farm’s own produce.
A spokesperson said:
“We will be offering visitors an opportunity to bask in the sunshine, surrounded by an array of brightly coloured flowers in the great Yorkshire countryside.
“A perfect day out for the whole family with PYO flowers, a selection of drinks and sweet treats will also be available along with our seasonal farm produce.”
Later in the season, Mallard Grange plan to offer meat boxes and honey from their onsite hives, and will also be offering ‘pick your own’ Pumpkins.
1,500 have been planted ready to be snapped up by visitors.
Speaking about future plans, the spokesperson added:
“We hope to organise some amazing twilight events in collaboration with some other local businesses.
“More details will be available on the website and on our social media pages very soon!”
