Michelin-starred chef Marco Pierre White has full of praise for a Harrogate fish and chip restaurant following a visit earlier this week.
The TV chef, who actually began his culinary career in Harrogate, visited The Fisherman’s Wife on Cheltenham Parade.
It follows an impromptu visit to the Fisherman’s Wife in Whitby last month.
Speaking about the town, and his visit to the restaurant, Marco said:
“Back in the town where my career started all those years ago. I love Harrogate and have a lot of affection for it.
“The fish and chips here were so good. I’ve eaten it all.”
But it wasn’t all praise from the Hells Kitchen star - he wasn’t keen on the restaurant’s lighting!
A spokesperson for the restaurant said:
“There was just one note for us to take away - the lighting needs a little work.
“Thanks Marco. We’ll get onto the lighting. Glad you enjoyed our fish and chips.”
