A unique Polar Express train experience is returning to our area for a second year.
Chris Van Allsburg’s timeless tale is coming to Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, between Skipton and Harrogate, next month.
It’s running from 15th November through to Christmas Eve, billed as a “Christmas experience like no other.”
Guests are invited to attend in their pyjamas before being joined by various characters from the story, including dancing chefs serving hot chocolate and cookies.
There will be a reading of Chris Van Allsburg’s classic tale, and Santa and his elves will also make an appearance to give each child their own sleigh bell.
Chris Brookes, Artistic Director for the event, said:
“We are thrilled to return to Bolton Abbey with the fantastic team at the Steam Railway.
“Building on last year’s success, we are committed to making this year’s train ride even more magical.”
He added:
“Our talented performers from across the UK will bring The Polar Express to life, and we are always in awe of their creativity and energy.
“Our immersive train ride experiences are designed to bring families joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories, so we encourage guests to don their pyjamas and fully embrace the magic of this beloved story.”
A more relaxed sensory performance is available for those with special educational needs.
