The Hungry Caterpillar Kids Café officially opened its doors on Knaresborough's High Street last weekend.
New children's cafe opens on High Street in Knaresborough A brand new children’s cafe has launched on Knaresborough’s High Street. The Hungry Caterpillar Children’s Cafe officially opened on Saturday (16th September) offering a “safe and friendly environment” for young children and their grown-ups. The cafe offers toys, books and sensory items alongside a selection of refreshments. There is also a small play area for under 5’s with a pool pit, balance beam, rockets and climbing, as well as a large TV playing children's shows all day. Owner Danielle Bartley-Mould said:
“As a Mum of three and a previous foster carer who has had 28 children in total over the years, I can totally appreciate it can be stressful when eating out with our little ones. “They can be unpredictable, get bored, get restless, and l've seen one too many times rolling eyes when my little ones noises are not appreciated by other customers. “That's completely understandable and it's why I felt somewhere like this was needed.”[caption id="attachment_79185" align="aligncenter" width="1024"] The Hungry Caterpillar Cafe is now open.[/caption] The cafe has baby changing facilities and provides free emergency nappies and wipes for parents. Danielle added:
“We look forward to welcoming you and your little ones and want to take this opportunity [to thank you] for all your amazing kind words of support, it's been hugely appreciated.”Find out more about the new cafe via Facebook here. Read more local stories from Your Harrogate here.
