Jackie Crozier has been announced as Ripon's Mayor Elect for the 2025/26 term.
Jackie will represent the Spa Ward and will "champion the city of Ripon" in her new role.
Born and bred in Ripon, Jackie is the owner and managing director of Little Bird Made, which runs regular artisan markets in Harrogate, Knaresborough and Ripon.
As Mayor, Cllr Crozier will be accompanied by her consort, Lorna Fassnidge, during her Mayoral year.
The news was announced by Ripon City Council this morning (Tuesday).
Jackie said:
“I am delighted to represent the city I was born and bred in as Mayor.
“I look forward to championing our great city and being an advocate for our community.”
During her tenure, Cllr Crozier will focus on fundraising for St Michael’s Hospice who look after her mum, and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
She has previously helped raised over £50,000 for various charities.
The annual Mayor Making Ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday 7th May 2025, with the Mayor’s installation service at Ripon Cathedral on 11th May 2025.
