Hundreds gathered at Knaresborough Castle to watch Glastonbury on the big screen over the weekend.
Knaresborough’s ‘Party in the Castle’ returned on Saturday (29th June) between 5pm and 11pm.
It was organised through a collaboration between Knaresborough & District Chamber and North Yorkshire Council.
And the event has once again been branded a success, despite the wet weather.
Kelly Teggin from Kelly Teggin Hairdressing said:
“Knaresborough and District Chamber want to thank everyone from Matt Walker who gave us half the funds from his locality funding and the supporters Newby James, Red Box, Drakes, The Wine Shop, Next Door Cafe, Greenwoods, Knaresborough Clothing Store, The Music Bank, Six Poor Folk & 1858.
“Without their support we could not put on this free community event.
"We also want to thank the amazing Knaresborough people who respect the Castle Yard, help by behaving impeccable and putting all their rubbish in the bins provided, it really helps with the clean up at the end of the night.”

The group hopes that the event will return next year.
Photographer Mike Whorley said:
“Thank you everyone for being such great people to photograph, it makes my job that bit easier when everyone is having a fab time and up for some fun photos.
“A brilliant event yet again by Knaresborough Chamber.”

A spokesperson from Natural Choice Food Shop said:
“What a wonderful event and a great turnout!
“So pleased to see that so many local businesses like ours supported this to stay happening in Knaresborough!”
