Harrogate Town have announced the permanent signing of Brentford defender Chanse Headman on an 18-month contract.
The 20-year-old joined The Bees in February 2023 from Walton & Hersham, developing into a key figure for the Premier League club’s B Team.
The six-foot-four defender spent the last month on loan at Maidenhead, scoring his first professional goal against Hampton & Richmond.
Headman said:
“I'm only 20, but I'm never someone that will back down from a challenge, I'm someone that will face it and be ready to learn at every point in my life.
“I can't wait to get started, I'm looking to learn a lot more from the boys, from the gaffer and everyone else here.
“I just want to get playing now and keep the club in the league they deserve to be in.”
Lloyd Kerry, Harrogate Town’s Head of Player Recruitment, said:
“At 20-years old we think he is mentally ready and physically ready to come in, compete in League Two and make a big impact.
“Injuries have left us a little light at centre half so when we the opportunity presented itself it was a no brainer and we’re excited by what he can bring.
“He’s really mobile and we like all the attributes he's got, he has shown in a short spell at Maidenhead that in men's football that he can really compete physically.”
Chanse takes the number 16 shirt at Town and is available for the club's trip to Shrewsbury, subject to FA and EFL approval.
