Harrogate-based home care provider Carefound Home Care has been named as one of 57 organisations across the UK to receive a Princess Royal Training Award this year.
The national awards, run by City and Guilds, recognise employers who demonstrate outstanding commitment to learning and development, and highlight how training programmes positively impact both staff and organisations.
Carefound Home Care was recognised for its care professional pathway, a six-month structured training programme launched in 2023.
The initiative is designed to give care staff the skills and confidence needed to deliver services that support older people living at home.
According to the organisation, the pathway has contributed to a reduction in hospital admissions, growth in care hours delivered, and high levels of staff satisfaction.
Managing Director Oliver Stirk said:
“We’re thrilled to receive the Princess Royal Training Award which highlights the success of our care professional pathway and how we ensure our care professionals are empowered to provide outstanding care to older people at home.”
The Princess Royal Training Awards mark their 10th year in 2025, coinciding with HRH The Princess Royal’s 75th birthday.
This year’s recipients include organisations from healthcare, hospitality, education, construction, and charities, alongside major brands such as Costa Coffee, Deloitte, JCB, and Nationwide.
The awards involve a rigorous application process including an online submission, virtual assessment, and final recommendation to HRH The Princess Royal.
