Great Knaresborough Bunny Hunt to return for ninth year

The Great Knaresborough Bunny Hunt returns this weekend.

The much-loved Great Knaresborough Bunny Hunt is hopping back into town this week in support of local businesses.

The event aims to bring families, visitors and the community together for a fun-filled Easter activity to raise money for local charities.

Running from 28th March to 12th April, the Bunny Hunt invites participants to explore Knaresborough as they search for hand-painted ceramic bunnies displayed in shop windows and community spaces across the town and riverside.

Last year’s hunt raised £5,295 - taking the overall fundraising total for the event to £22,479 since it began in 2018.

How to get involved

Participants can purchase a Bunny Hunt map for £4 and follow the trail, spotting bunnies, completing their forms and handing them in for a sweet treat - and the chance to win prizes donated by local businesses.

Maps will be available from Painting Pots on Castlegate, Bon Bon on High Street, PJ Ices and The Black Mulberry on Waterside.

The event also raises vital funds for local causes. The 2026 charities are Harrogate Neighbours Community Hub, Martin House Children’s Hospice, Christmas Gifts for the Elderly in Knaresborough and Girlguiding North Yorkshire West – Birk Crag Centre.
