Free outdoor cinema to be held in Knaresborough this weekend A free outdoor cinema event will be held in Knaresborough this weekend. Knaresborough Cricket Club will screen family favourite ‘The Greatest Showman’ on Friday (29th September). Organised by Knaresborough Revolution, the event will provide a bar which opens at 6:30pm. The film will then be shown from 7:30pm. Although entry is free, organisers encourage donations towards the work of Knaresborough Revolution, the group behind the famous Space Bus. A spokesperson for Knaresborough Revolution said:
“As part of our Mission statement, we started to organise events for the community to raise funds and awareness. “Our first event; an open air cinema at Knaresborough Cricket Club, hosted Grease followed by Top Gun. “With popcorn flowing, the chilly September air didn’t dampen spirits. Funds raised from these events go towards future events and initiatives.”Outdoor screening Visitors are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets. Popcorn and other refreshments can be purchased from the Cricket Club Bar. Knaresborough Revolution is a charity that operates as a division of Knaresborough Rotary.
