Repairs to the collapsed wall on Briggate in Knaresborough have resumed and will continue for ten weeks.
Briggate wall repairs to cause ten weeks of disruption Repairs to the collapsed stone wall on Briggate in Knaresborough have resumed. The wall collapsed back in September and saw some preliminary works take place towards the end of last year, before they were halted. Works resumed on Monday (8th January) and will see two-way temporary traffic lights in place until Friday 14th March. In a letter to a concerned Knaresborough resident, Cllr Carl Les said previously:
“Please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience and frustration that you and other residents are experiencing due to the temporary traffic signals on Briggate. “The contractor will require the two-way lights to remain in place to complete the works as they will be working within the carriageway.”See other roadworks in North Yorkshire at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roads-parking-and-travel/roads-and-pavements/roadworks-map Read more local stories from Your Harrogate here.
