In this episode of the Your Harrogate podcast, Pete Egerton catches up with Harrogate Town gaffer Simon Weaver and in the second part, focuses on Knaresborough Town Women. Harrogate Town were narrowly defeated 1-0 at Gillingham last Saturday (9th September), but Simon says the squad has responded well in training. They're very much looking forward to a Yorkshire derby in league two at Bradford City (16th September) - Simon admits that it's a fixture all his players want to feature in. On Sunday (17th September), after winning the West Riding County Women's football league division 4 last season, Knaresborough Town Women start a new campaign in division 2. They appealed to the FA in order to be promoted higher up the ladder and were successful. Pete speaks to centre back Beth Padgett and right back Chloe Hickson, both of whom are relishing the first match being a local derby at Boroughbridge.
