It’s a case of 'new year, new schedule' at Your Harrogate Radio, with a refreshed weekday line-up on the way from January 2026.
We’re excited to reveal that newly appointed Programme Director Ricky Durkin will be taking over the breakfast show as part of a wider line-up change across the station.
The updated schedule will see Ricky waking up listeners on air from 7am to 10am each weekday, followed by Pete Egerton’s entertaining mid-morning show from 10am to 1pm.
The ‘afternoon three’ quiz is going nowhere, as Elisa Hilton will be back from 1pm to 4pm, followed by a new addition to the lineup in the form of George Dickson, who will be taking over the drive-time show from 4pm to 7pm.
The ever-popular Alex Cann will close out the weekday schedule from 7pm to 10pm.
We’re delighted to welcome George to the radio lineup - a talented Harrogate-born presenter who has become a regular face on Your Harrogate’s social media channels.

The changes form part of a weekday schedule shake-up and will come into effect on Monday 5th January 2026.
Ricky Durkin was appointed as Your Media Group’s Programme Director at the start of December and is responsible for overseeing the sound and output of Your Harrogate, Your Skipton and Your Ilkley.
He brings a broad range of radio experience to the role, having worked across commercial radio in both presenting and programming positions, with a background that includes developing on-air content.
Ricky said:
"I’ve been involved since the day Your Harrogate launched a radio station and to be given the opportunity to wake the Harrogate district up every morning is very exciting!
"The listeners in this area are great, so I’ll be looking to get them more involved in the show, as well as setting everyone up for the working day.
"We’ll have all the daily local info you need - as well as a lot of fun!"
Adam Daniel, Managing Director at Your Media Group, said:
“This new schedule reflects our commitment to proper local radio that sounds fresh and relevant for our listeners across the Harrogate district.
“Ricky’s experience and understanding of what makes strong local radio has already had a positive impact, and we’re excited to see this next phase take shape with a mix of familiar voices and new local talent.”
Your Harrogate Radio is available on DAB, online, on smart speakers and via the station’s free app.
