In the lead up to Halloween, RHS Harlow Carr in Harrogate will be offering up an array of spooky activities from 28th October to 5th November. They'll be introducing a 'fangtastic' family trail around the garden and clues to lead you to some spooky sights. A RHS Harlow Carr spokesperson said:
"Come face to face with fascinating creatures with Zoolab's ethical animal encounters, delve into the Halloween spirit by joining a crafts workshop, and unearth the mysteries of the garden with the Garden Detectives. "Elsewhere ignite your creativity in Forest School, using natural materials to get crafting."Magical Forest School (Monday 30th October and Friday 3rd November - 10.30am – 12.30pm, 1pm - 3pm) Visitors are invited to xreate your own wand using natural materials in Harlow Carr's bewitching Halloween workshop. Find fallen twigs, leaves, and branches in the garden to create a unique wand with its own story. Let your imagination run wild as you decorate your wand with colourful strings and raffia, weaving in your own special magical enchantments. Recommended for ages 3+ (must be accompanied by an adult). Zoolab Ethical Animals Encounters (Monday 30th October – Friday 3rd November - 11am – 3pm, Sunley Room) Zoolab will be introducing a rotating cast of weird and wonderful creatures that "defy imagination." Featuring slithering reptiles and tiny invertebrates, Zoolab's passionate experts are committed to the highest standards of animal welfare. All ages (must be accompanied by an adult) Crafty Halloween (Wednesday 1st November - 11am – 3pm) Whether it's your first Halloween or you're seasoned trick-or-treaters, this workshop promises a magical adventure for all. Dive into the mystical world of Halloween crafting, where every little artist becomes a master of spooky creations. Recommended for ages 3+ (must be accompanied by an adult) Garden Detectives (Tuesday 31 Oct and Friday 3 Nov 11am, 1pm, 3pm, location depends on the weather) What's Halloween without a little storytelling magic from The Garden Detectives? Gather 'round as they share spooky tales and enchanting stories; and they'll have some autumnal games to take part in.
