A brand new event is coming to RHS Garden Harlow Carr in Harrogate next month.
The gardens will host a new 'Plot to Plate' event on 6th and 7th September, inviting visitors to explore the connection between growing and cooking.
The two-day event will feature a weekend of activities focused on food, gardening, and seasonal produce.
It will feature cooking demonstrations from local chefs, expert gardening advice, guided tours of the Kitchen Garden and a street food market.
Activities aim to highlight the value of homegrown produce and sustainable food practices.
Chefs taking part in the live cooking demonstrations include Minal Patel from Prashad, Adam Degg of Fifty Two at Rudding Park, David Atherton, winner of The Great British Bake Off 2019, and Josh Brimmel of Star in the City and York Minster Refectory, among others.
Visitors can also attend sessions hosted by Sam Hamrebtan, founder of The Life Larder, who will discuss the link between soil health and gut health, while also offering practical nutrition and cooking advice.
Additional talks will be led by gardening experts including Martin Fish, with further insights from North Yorkshire Rotters on reducing food waste.

Children aged four and up can join in with hands-on cookery sessions, using seasonal ingredients to create dishes to take home.
The event will also offer daily edible garden tours, aiming to inspire visitors to grow their own produce.
Local food and drink producers will be on site as part of the weekend market, offering items ranging from cheese toasties and curries to burritos and baked goods.
The Barrow Band will provide live entertainment with performances themed around fruit and vegetables.
All activities, including cookery demos and talks, are included with garden admission, subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis.
Entry starts from £15.85 for adults, while children’s tickets are priced at £5.00. Entry is free for RHS members and under-fives.
