The kooky, mysterious, and spooky world of The Addams Family is coming to Harrogate Theatre.
St John Fisher Catholic Academy is taking to the professional stage of Harrogate Theatre for the first time, presenting Charles Addams’ beloved characters in the Addams Family musical.
The production features a cast of 45 talented students, ranging from seasoned performers to rising stars.
Craig Ratcliffe, Head of Music at St John Fisher Catholic Academy, said:
"Performing at Harrogate Theatre is a dream come true for many of our students, and it provides a professional platform that matches the incredible hard work and dedication they have poured into rehearsals.
"We are incredibly proud of what they have achieved, and we can’t wait for the community to see the ‘Addams’ world come to life."
The Addams Family tells the story of every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met.
If that wasn’t upsetting enough, she confides in her father, Gomez, and begs him not to tell her mother.
Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia.
Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents.
Performances take place on Thursday (29th) and Friday (30th January) with tickets available via the Harrogate Theatre Box Office or by calling 01423 50211.
