A new late-night bus service is set to launch in Harrogate next month.
The Harrogate Bus Company has confirmed that, from 1st September, the final number 1 bus to Knaresborough will now depart at 12.25am, providing a later travel option for passengers.
The change follows concerns that the final train from Leeds to Harrogate arrived too late for passengers to catch the last bus service to Knaresborough.
Harrogate and Knaresborough MP Tom Gordon said he had raised the issue with the bus firm after hearing from constituents.

He said:
“Constituents told me the final Leeds train arrived with too little time to catch the last #1 bus to Knaresborough.
“I raised this with Harrogate Bus Company. It has been agreed the last bus will now depart at 12:25am, from Monday 1st September, allowing a smoother connection home.”
The later service will operate from 1st September as part of the regular number 1 bus timetable.
