Knaresborough vet practice launches new 24/7 triage service

An independent family-run veterinary practice based in Knaresborough has launched a new 24/7 triage service, giving pet owners access to professional advice 365 days a year.

Your Family Vets is now offering the innovative VidiVet service free of charge to all registered clients and makes it the only veterinary clinic in North Yorkshire to provide this level of round-the-clock triage support.

The new service gives pet owners peace of mind whenever they need reassurance about their pet’s health. With registration only taking a couple of minutes, the new service is available via a simple link on the practice’s website.

Dr Philip Simon, owner and veterinary surgeon said:

“It’s like having a vet in your pocket. Instead of searching online and worrying about conflicting advice, you simply ask a qualified vet and get a reply within minutes from a professional who has a minimum of five years’ experience.

“Providing fast veterinary advice without having to leave home, VidiVet allows clients to send a photo, video or message and receive a personalised video response from a vet. If your pet needs to be seen, the vet will tell you, and we’ll guide you to the correct out-of-hours care.

“When we are closed, most concerns do not require a trip to the hospital and those registered can send unlimited messages, day or night. The service aims to reduce unnecessary emergency visits while ensuring pets that genuinely need urgent attention are directed to appropriate care quickly.”
