Harrogate Theatre Choir raises £2,400 for charity to celebrate 15th anniversary

David Wells, Trustee of Dementia Forward and Andrew Forsyth, Chair of Harrogate Theatre Choir.

Harrogate Theatre Choir has marked its 15th anniversary by raising £2,400 for local charities.

The funds were generated through the choir’s anniversary concert programme, HTC15: The Musicals, which toured towns and villages throughout the region during 2025.

Proceeds from the performances were shared between several organisations, including Harrogate Homeless Project, Mashamshire Community Office, Martin House Children's Hospice and Dementia Forward.

The most recent donation saw a cheque for £900 presented to Dementia Forward, bringing the overall total raised during the anniversary year to £2,400.

The choir is preparing to begin its 2026 season with a new production titled ‘Love Stories’.

The show will be performed over two nights at the Harrogate Theatre Studio on 13th and 14th February, coinciding with Valentine’s celebrations.

Led by Harrogate musician Catherine Field-Leather, the production explores different aspects of love through songs from a century of stage and screen.

Andrew Forsyth, Chair of Harrogate Theatre Choir, said:

“After a very successful Anniversary year, we are thrilled to embark on this new season with ‘Love Stories.’

“We’ll be singing songs on the theme of love from across the decades and invite everyone to join us for this great celebration.”
