A school in the Harrogate district have donated more than £2,900 to charity following their exploits at this year’s Great Knaresborough Bed Race.
The team from All Saints CE Primary School competed in the historic race on Saturday 8th June in aid of Candleighters - a charity that supports children with cancer and their families.
Staff, parents and a pupil represented the school along the famous 2.4-mile route and finished 59th out of 90 participants.
And they handed over a cheque for £2,961 to Candelighters at an assembly earlier this week.
It was attended by former All Saints pupil Sam, who currently undergoing treatment.
The funds raised will go towards enabling a much-needed Center Parcs breaks for three families supported by the charity.
