A popular Harrogate-born comedian is set to appear on the new series of hit comedy show 'Last One Laughing.'
Maisie Adam, who is originally from Pannal, has been confirmed among the line-up for the highly anticipated second series, due to air on Amazon Prime Video next year.
Alongside Maisie are comedy stars including David Mitchell, Diane Morgan, Romesh Ranganathan, Amy Gledhill, Mel Giedroyc, Alan Carr, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Sam Campbell and Bob Mortimer, who won the first series and will return to defend his title.
Jimmy Carr will once again host the show, joined by Roisin Conaty as his deputy.
The format, originally adapted from the Japanese series Documental, challenges comedians to make each other laugh while keeping a straight face themselves.
The first UK season drew up to 6.1 million viewers per episode, making it one of Prime Video’s most-watched originals.
Bob Mortimer emerged as the winner, seeing off competition from Richard Ayoade, Daisy May Cooper and Joe Lycett.

Maisie Adam, 31, has quickly risen from the regional comedy circuit to national recognition.
Since winning the ‘So You Think You’re Funny?’ award in 2017 and earning a nomination for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, she has appeared on programmes including Mock the Week, QI, 8 Out of 10 Cats and Have I Got News for You.
Filming will kick off later this year for the series, which is expected to be released in early 2026.
