Harrogate town centre is preparing to welcome back its seasonal celebrations as the Harrogate Christmas Fayre opens to the public tomorrow at 10am.
The event will once again transform the town into a festive destination, with up to 40 traditional wooden chalets offering a wide mix of food, drink and gifts. Delivered by Market Place in partnership with Visit North Yorkshire, part of North Yorkshire Council, the Fayre brings together traders from Italy, Spain and the Netherlands alongside a range of local and regional businesses. A new feature for this year is a dedicated bar area with seating, giving visitors the chance to relax and enjoy festive drinks. Alongside this, a wide range of food will be available, from Bratwurst sausages and sweet and savoury crumble pots to Christmas sandwiches, loaded doughnuts and churros. Gift stalls will offer ceramics, personalised decorations, jewellery, Dutch flowers and winter accessories. Andy Pidgen, Market Manager, said: “We are delighted to bring the Harrogate Christmas Fayre back for another year, introducing exciting new features alongside much-loved favourites to further enhance the market experience. "The Fayre is not only a celebration of cherished festive traditions but also an important contributor to the local economy, attracting visitors from across the region to enjoy the unique seasonal charm of Harrogate.” Families can also enjoy the return of the free Candy Cane Express road train, running every Thursday to Sunday during the Fayre and offering an easy way to travel around the town centre. The Fayre runs from 5th December to 14th December, closing at 4:30 pm on the final day.
