Emergency services were called at 5:16pm yesterday (Thursday, 22nd August).
The callout followed a fire involving four canal boats on Valuation Lane in Boroughbridge
Crews from Harrogate and Knaresborough Fire Stations attended the scene.
Two of the boats sank during the incident.
The fire was extinguished using two hose reel jets, one 45mm jet, two sets of breathing apparatus, a light portable pump and ceiling hooks.
Firefighters secured the vessels to stop them drifting and potentially causing further damage to nearby boats.
