Christmas gets underway at Harrogate's Great Yorkshire Showground next week, with a host of events across Fodder, Pavilions of Harrogate and the Yorkshire Event Centre.
From Fodder’s Christmas Extravaganza to Santa’s Christmas Funland in the Yorkshire Event Centre and the Great Yorkshire Christmas Fair, there’s plenty of events ahead.
All profits from events held at the Showground’s venues goes to charity owners Yorkshire Agricultural Society which supports and promotes farming, food and countryside.
Allister Nixon, Chief Executive of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society said:

“Between the events we are organising and the events we are hosting, we are sure there’s something for everyone to get into the Christmas spirit in the coming weeks.”
Christmas Extravaganza at Fodder
A Christmas Extravaganza is being hosted at Fodder on Thursday 21st November from 5:30pm, which is free to attend and sees 10% off instore.
Suppliers will be on hand to help plan the perfect Christmas dinner, with demonstrations from Fodder’s expert butchers and cheese tasting, along with samples from over 25 suppliers.
Santa’s Christmas Funland
Santa’s Christmas Funland comes to the showground for the first time from Saturday 14th December until Christmas Eve.
There’ll be a real giant ice rink, fairground rides and Enchanted Elf Tipis with Panto shows. There’s even the Christmas Grinch!
There’s crafts and holiday décor in the Tipi workshop, game stalls and a host of sweet Christmas treats.
Every child ticket includes a special free gift from Santa and all activities are included for three hours of fun!

Great Yorkshire Christmas Fair
The Great Yorkshire Christmas Fair at the Yorkshire Event Centre is running from Thursday 28th November to Sunday 1st December.
This indoor, festive fair features 180 top companies selling everything from sensational festive decorations; wow factor wreaths; unusual food; gorgeous gifts and stunning stocking fillers.
There will be decorative accessories for your home and garden; charming children’s products; dazzling jewellery and art; toys; fashion and fashion accessories.
Doors open from 9:30am-5pm on Thursday to Saturday and 9:30am-4pm on Sunday.

Advance tickets are £5 online or £7 by phone and will be £9 on the door. Entry is free for children under 16.
