80s popstar Sinitta has praised Harrogate after spending Christmas and New Year in the town while performing in pantomime nearby.
The singer has been staying in Harrogate during her run in panto at the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford, which brought her to the area over the festive season.
She is playing The Spirit of Pantomime in the festive production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Speaking about her experience, Sinitta said she was pleasantly surprised by the town and its atmosphere.
She said:
“I had no idea what to expect when I decided to spend Christmas and New Year in Harrogate…
“I have been charmed beyond my imaginings, everyone and everything is just lovely, I feel like Kate Winslet in The Holiday!
“Only a few weeks left… I have loved being here.”
Sinitta joins Carol Vorderman on the list of celebrities who chose to spend the festive period in Harrogate.
